Gavin "The Bull" Bilton (born 23 October 1988) is a professional stongman from Caerphilly, Wales and a two-time winner of the UK's Strongest Man competition.

Background

Gavin grew up in Caerphilly and attended Bedwas Infant School,  Bedwas Junior Schhol and Bedwas High School. Before becoming a professional strongman, Gavin served for 13 years in the Welsh Guards, completing two tours in Afganistan and acting as a Queens Guard at Buckingham palace. Since leaving the army, Gavin has set up his own gym in Caerphilly with his best friend and training partner Simon Hammett, called "Area 51".

Career

In October 2020, Gavin won 2021 UK's Strongest Man competition in Belfast. He would go on to retain the title in 2021.

Gavin was invited to attend the 2020 Worlds Strongest Man competition in Florida US, where he finished 5th in his heat after sustaining a rib injury during the squat lift.  He continues year on year to be invited and progresses one step closer every time he attends.

He has finished 2nd twice at Britains Strongest Man finishing behind Adam Bishop and 3 time Worlds Strongest Man Tom Stoltman.

Other ventures

A former  rugby union player, Gavin had spells at Welsh Premiership sides Bridgend, Swansea, Newport and Bedwas. Bilton played for Caerphilly RFC in the WRU National Bowl final at the Princilpality Stadium in 2017
